Freshology Recalls Chicken Salad for Undeclared Egg

Freshology of California is recalling about 111 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken salad products because they contain undeclared egg, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to egg could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received to date.

Freshology Chicken Salad RecallThe recalled product is 12 ounce plastic tray packages containing ready-to-eat “Freshology Southwest Chicken Salad” with an “EAT BY” date of 03/25/2016. It was produced on March 18, 2016. The product has the establishment number “P-51168” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to food service locations in California. The ranch salad dressing included with the product contains egg that is not declared on the label.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to egg, do not eat them. Throw the salads away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
