Frontera Recalls Taco Skillet Sauce for Undeclared Soy

Frontera Foods of Chicago is recalling 720 packages of its Frontera Texas Original Taco Skillet Sauce because it contains undeclared soy. Anyone who is allergic to soy could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat eat this product. No illnesses or reactions have been reported to date.

Frontera Taco Skillet Sauce RecallThe recalled product is Frontera Texas Original Taco Skillet Sauce in 8 ounce packages. This product was distributed to the District of Columbia and to Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Vermont. The pouch is marked with a “BEST BY” date of “13 APR 17” on the bottom of the back side of the package. The UPC number for the recalled product is 6-04183-12170-7.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to soy, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. You can see a list of the stores where the product was sold at the FDA web site. The stores include Safeway, Farm Fresh, Acme Market, Shaws, and Shoppers, among others.
