HEB Recalls Raw Shelled Pistachios for Salmonella

HEB is recalling both bulk and packaged raw shelled pistachios because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No reports of illness have been received to date and all product has been removed from stores.

The recalled products were sold in HEB and Central Market Texas stores. They are Shelled Pistachios with UPC number 191200005 and best by date 1/1/2017, and Central Market Shelled Pistachios with UPC number 198300006 and best by date 1/1/2017.

Also recalled are products made with those pistachios. Those products were purchased on or after 5/15/2016. They include SRF Women’s Vitality Mix with UPC number 2706100000, Pistachio Meats Raw Shelled with UPC number 2702890000, Dark Chocolate Pistachios with UPC number 2705350000, and PPK SRF Women’s Vitality Mix with UPC number 2869780000.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a sealed or double bagged package so other people and animals can’t eat them, or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
