Hot Peppers and Pickles Recalled for No License

Twenty-two types of hot peppers and pickles produced by Garden Harvest are being recalled because they were produced without a license, according to the January 20, 2016 FDA Enforcement Report. Because these foods were not inspected by the government, they carry a food safety risk.  We are going to report this recall in two stages. This is the recall for hot peppers.

Recall NoticesThe recalled products include Abruzzi’s Hot Peppers in oil in 15 fl oz packages, with lot numbers 377205, 377285, and 377295, and UPC number 8 51071 00500 1. Barney’s Hot Peppers in 16 ounce packages with lot numbers 437305, 43835, and 433315 and UPC number 7 01807 99994 7 are recalled. Also recalled are Bino’s Italian Hot Peppers in 16 ounce containers with lot number 263245 and UPC number 8 67752 00013 5, and 32 ounce containers with lot number 253255 and UPC number 8 67752 00011 1.

Bino’s Italian Sweet Peppers in 16 ounce containers are recalled, with lot number 253255 and UPC number 8 67752 00012 8, and 32 ounce containers with lot number 253255 and UPC number 8 67752 00010 4. Also recalled are Cafe 422 Hot Peppers in Oil with lot number 467285, in 16 ounce containers with UPC number 8 60557 00010, and 32 ounce containers with UPC number 8 60557 00011 9.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
