IGA Ground Meat Recalled in One Store in Canada for Metal Shavings

IGA Port McNeill is recalling ground meats for the possible presence of metal shavings.  These products were sold at the IGA at 1705 Campbell Way in Port McNeill, British Columbia. There have been no reports of illness or injuries associated with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are all IGA brand and were sold in variable sizes. They include Extra Lean Ground Beef with UPC numbers starting with 200117 and best before dates Oct. 16, 16 and Oct. 17, 16; Lean Ground Beef with UPC numbers starting with 200089 and best before dates Oct. 16, 16 and October 17, 16; and Family Pack Lean Grnd Beef with UPC numbers starting with 200115 and best before dates Oct 16, 16 and October 17, 16. Also recalled is Lean Ground Pork with UPC numbers starting with 200091 and best before dates Oct. 16, 16 and Oct. 17, 16; and Seasoned Meatballs with UPC numbers starting with 200727 and best before dates Oct. 16, 16 and Oct. 17, 16.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the store for a refund.
