Ikea Canada Updates Recall of Chocolate for Undeclared Nuts

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Ikea Canada are updating the recall of chocolate for undeclared nuts, one of the major food allergens. A new product has been added to the recall. Anyone who is allergic to tree nuts could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. No allergic reactions have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The newly recalled product is CHOKLADKROKANT BREDBAR, which is a chocolate flavored spread with butterscotch pieces. It is sold in 400 gram jars, with the UPC number 1.602.501.33.0007. All lot codes up to and including July 28, 2016 are included in this recall.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to tree nuts, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
