Klement’s Sausage Recalls Products for Foreign Material

Klement’s Sausage Company of Wisconsin is recalling 1689 pounds of beef and pork products that may be contaminated with foreign materials. One person sustained an injury to the mouth when eating these products.

The recalled product is 1 ounce plastic packages containing two pieces of “Klement’s Original Snack Sticks Naturally Hardwood Smoked No MSG Added Gluten Free. The sell by date on the product is 11-16-17 and the case code is 3262. The products have the establishment number “EST. 2426B” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to vending distributors in Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

A consumer complaint was filed to the FSIS Des Moines District Office, which opened an investigation. The FSIS Eastern Laboratory found several pieces of foreign material ranging in size from 1 to 4.88 mm in other unopened packages.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed container or take it back to the place of purchase for a refund.
