Kroger Recalls Simple Truth Organic Vegetables for Listeria

Kroger is recalling Simple Truth Organic Mixed Vegetables because CRF Frozen Foods is recalling some of those ingredients for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Simple Truth Vegetables Listeria RecallThe stores that carry these brands include Kroger, Jay-C, Dillons, Bakers, Gerbes, King Soopers, City Market, Fry’s, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, QFC, and Smith’s. This product was sold in those stores in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

The recalled product is Simple Truth Organic Mixed Vegetables in 10 ounce packages. The UPC number is 0001111036738 and the sell by dates are December 2016 and January 2017.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it, even if you cook it first. Throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund. Then clean out your refrigerator or freezer with a mild bleach solution to kill any remaining bacteria.

If you ate any of this product, watch yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis for the next 70 days. They include stiff neck, fever, muscle aches, abdominal pain, headache, nausea, and diarrhea. If you do get sick see your doctor.
