Macadamia Nuts Recall for Possible Salmonella Expanded

Mahina Mele Farms is expanding its voluntary recall of Izzie Macs! Macadamia Nuts and Baby Bruddah’s Nut Buttah products for possible Salmonella contamination. One sample from LOT 30 was positive for Salmonella, so the company is recalling ALL lots currently on the market. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are Izzie Macs! Macadamia Nuts in 6 ounce (salted) plastic bag, with UPC number 689076792677, Izzie Macs! Macadamia Nuts in 6 count (unsalted) plastic bag with UPC number 689076793575, Izzie Macs! Macadamia Nuts in 16 ounce (unsalted) plastic bag with UPC number 689076792776, and Izzie Macs! Macadamia Nuts in 16 ounce (salted) plastic bag with UPC number 689076792974. Also recalled are Bulk Macadamia Nuts in 5 pound plastic bag (salted and unsalted, wholes and pieces) with no UPC number.

Also recalled are Baby Bruddah’s Mac Nut Buttah in 12 ounce plastic tubs with UPC number 753182242019, and Baby Bruddah’s Chocolate Mac Nut Buttah in 12 ounce plastic tubs with UPC number 73518224204. They were distributed from October 21, 2015 to January 20, 2016 and involve all products.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
