Maggi Chicken Bouillon Cubes Recalled

Several stores have posted about a recall of Maggi Chicken Bouillon Cubes made by Nestle for undeclared wheat flour, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to wheat or cannot eat gluten because of celiac disease could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No reports of illness have been received to date.

RecallThe stores that have posted about the recall include Price Chopper, Wegmans, Stop & Shop, Giant, Hannaford, and Publix, but they may have been sold at other grocery store chains. The recalled products are 6 and 12 count Maggi Chicken Bouillon Cubes with UPC numbers 28000 24795 and 28000 11567.  The 6 tablet product weighs 2.43 ounces, and the 12 tablet product weighs 4.86 ounces. All code dates are recalled.

If you do not have a wheat allergy or do not have celiac disease, there is no health risk. If you are allergic to wheat or do have celiac disease, do not use this product. Discard the product or return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
