Michael Angelo’s Vegetable Lasagna Recalled for Undeclared Turkey, Eggs

Michael Angelo’s Vegetable Lasagna is under recall for undeclared turkey and eggs. Consumers with an egg allergy should not eat this product as they risk an allergic reaction if they do. And consumers who do not eat poultry should be advised that do to mislabeling the product contains turkey.

Michael Angelo’s Gourmet Foods, Inc. of Austin, Texas issued a recalled of approximately 1,575 pounds of vegetable lasagna products produced on Feb. 12, 2016. The recalled products, whichd o not bear the USDA mark of inspection, were sold in 10-oz. boxes containing plastic trays labeled “Michael Angelo’s Vegetable Lasagna” with a packaging date of Feb. 12, 2016. They were shipped to a distributor in Indiana. They can be returned to the place of purchase.

Customers discovered the problem.  At the time of the recall, there had been confirmed reports of adverse reactions, the company said. Consumers who are concerned about illness should contact a healthcare provider.
