Montero Farms Recalls Habanero Peppers for Salmonella

Montero Farms of McAllen, Texas is recalling Orange Habanero Peppers because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. Contamination was found after routine FDA testing. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.

Recall-sign-3aThe recalled item is Orange Habanero Peppers that come in 8 pound cardboard boxes. The lot number isĀ 41142-41143 on the top of the box. In total, 154 boxes of the peppers are being recalled. They were shipped to Indianapolis, Indiana and to McAllen Texas from April 28, 2016 to the current date.

If you purchased these peppers do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
