Morty Pride Pork BBQ Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

Morty Pride Mats is recalling about 237,891 pounds of pork barbecue products for misbranding and undeclared soy, one of the major food allergens. The product contains Worcestershire sauce that is made with soy. Anyone who is allergic to soy could have a serious reaction if they eat these products. No confirmed reports of illnesses have been received to date.

The recalled products are 5 pound vacuum sealed bags of “Morty Pride Pork Barbecue, Electronically Cooked,” and “12 ounce plastic cups of “Morty Pride Premium Pork Barbecue, Electronically Cooked.” They were produced and packaged from November 15, 2014 through November 11, 2016. They have the establishment number “EST. 6668” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to institutions and retail locations in North Carolina and South Carolina.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to soy, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the store where you bought them for a refund.
