Mountain Thins Trail Mix Recalled for Possible Listeria

Brown & Haley of Washington state is voluntarily recalling some lots of its  Mountain Thins “Trail Mix” flavor that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. Their supplier of sunflower seeds contacted them about the possibility of contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date, but the illness caused by this bacteria can take weeks or months to appear.

Mountain Thins Trail Mix RecallThe Mountain Thins “Trail Mix” flavor was sold in 5.3 ounce stand-up film pouch (resealable). The UPC number of the product is 0 41770 33370 7. The lot codes are O07O610 and O07O620 with best by date 3/7/2017; O08O610 and O08O620 with best by date 3/8/2017; O09O610 and O09O620 with best by date 3/9/2017; O10O610, and O10O620 with best by date 3/10/2017; O11O610 with best by date 3/11/2017; O16O610 with best by date 3/16/2017; W11W610 and W11W620 with best by date 4/11/2017; W14W610 with best by date 4/14/2017; and W15W610 with best by date 4/15/2017.

They were distributed to select retail stores nationwide. The product was sold between March 7, 2016 and April 25, 2016. If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed or double bagged container or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Then clean out your pantry or wherever the product was stored with a mild bleach solution. Wash your hands well after handling this product.
