Nutrisystem Recalls Nutricrush Bar for Possible Listeria

Nutrisystem Everyday is voluntarily recalling 455 cases of Nutricrush Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar, manufactured by Noble Foods, because it may contain Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. The bar contains chocolate chip cookie dough supplied by a third party supplier which has recalled the product.

The product was sold at ShopRite and Hannaford stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont. It was also sold online through Amazon.com and Walmart.com.

The recall is for Nutrisystem Nutricrush Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar. It was sold as a 5-count carton. The product has the UPC number 6 32674 85579 4, Enjoy by Aug 22 2017 and Lot Code NF082216A. All code information is found on the back panel of the carton.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed package or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund. Then clean out your pantry or wherever the product was stored with a mild bleach solution to kill any bacteria.

If you ate this recalled product, watch yourself for the symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes food poisoning for the next 70 days. Those symptoms include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. This illness can cause miscarriage and stillbirth in pregnant women, even though their illness is like a mild flu. If you do get sick, see your doctor.
