Ocean’s Brand Tuna Recalled for Leaking Cans

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Ocean Brands is recalling their Flaked White Tuna and Solid White Tuna because the cans may be leaking, which makes them unsafe. No reports of illness or adverse reactions have been received to date in connection with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are Ocean’s Albacore Flaked White Tuna in Water in 6 x 184 gram packages. The 6-pack UPC number is 0 65302 00627 3 and the can UPC number is 0 65302 00027 1. The other recalled product is Ocean’s Albacore Solid White Tuna in Water in 6 x 184 gram packages. The 6-pack UPC number is 0 65302 00629 7 and the can UPC number is 0 65302 00029 5. These products were sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.

If you purchased either of these products, do not eat them. Discard them in a sealed or double bagged package or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
