Old Dutch Recalls Potato Chips Products for Possible Salmonella

Old Dutch Foods of Minnesota is recalling a limited number of Flavored Potato Chips and Tortilla Chips products that were made with milk ingredients supplied by Valley Milk Products for possible risk of Salmonella contamination. These products were distributed nationwide. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recalled products include Old Dutch Ripples Seasoned Potato Chips in French Onion, Jalapeño Popper, and Cheddar & Sour Cream Flavors. Also recalled is Old Dutch Rip-L Family Pack Seasoned Potato Chips in Cheddar & Sour Cream. Lunds & Byerlys Seasoned Potato Chips in Chipotle Ranch are recalled. Round’s Seasoned Potato Chips in Jalapeño Popper and Cheddar & Sour Cream are recalled. Finally, Urge brand Seasoned Potato Chips in Cheddar & Sour Cream and Seasoned Tortilla Chip in Ranch are recalled. You can see the package sizes, UPC numbers, and code dates at the FDA web site.

No lab tests have confirmed the presence of Salmonella in these products, but they are being recalled out of an abundance of caution. If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Discard them or take them back to the store where you bought them for a refund.
