Organic Traditions Flax Seed Powder Recalled for Salmonella

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Advantage Health Matters are recalling Organic Traditions brand Sprouted Flat Seed Powder and Sprouted Chia & Flax Seed Powder for possible Salmonella contamination. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are all Organic Traditions brand. The first is Sprouted Flax Seed Powder in 227 gram packages. The code on the product is LOT:AHM626151118N
EXP:09/2017 and the UPC number is 8 54260 00626 1. The second recalled product is Sprouted Flax Seed Powder in 454 gram packages, with code LOT:AHM553151118N
EXP:09/2017 and UPC number 8 54260 00553 0. Finally, Sprouted Chia & Flax Seed Powder is recalled, sold in 227 gram packages with code LOT:AHM621151211N
EXP:10/2017 and UPC number 8 54260 00621 6. These products were sold nationally at the retail level.

You can see pictures of the recalled product labels at the CFIA web site. If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Discard them in a sealed container so other people and animals can’t eat them, or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
