P.F. Chang’s Recall of Frozen Entrees for Foreign Material Expanded

The recall of ConAgra’s P.F. Chang’s frozen chicken and beef entrees for possible foreign matter contamination has been expanded to include more products. Now 195,597 more pounds of products are included in the recall. The metal fragments that may be in these products are between 2 and 9 millimeters in diameter and are curled, malleable, and shiny. The fragments may be in the sauce contained within these products. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions or injuries due to the consumption of these products.

The recalled products were produced between May 31, 2016 and June 22, 2016. They include 22-ounce plastic bagged meal packages of “P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Signature Spicy Chicken” with a Use By date of 6/08/17 and case code 5006616500, 22-ounce plastic bagged meal packages of “P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Mongolian Style Beef” with a Use By date of 6/17/17 and case code 5006617400, 22-ounce plastic bagged meal packages of “P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Mongolian Style Beef” with a Use By date of 6/1/17 and case code 5006615800, and 22-ounce plastic bagged meal packages of “P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Beef with Broccoli” with a Use By date of 6/4/17 and case code 5006616100.

Also recalled are 22-ounce plastic bagged meal packages of “P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Sweet & Sour Chicken” with a Use By date of 6/3/17 and case code 5006616000, 22-ounce plastic bagged meal packages of “P.F. Chang’s Home Menu General Chang’s Chicken” with a Use By date of 6/3/17 and case code 5006616000, and 22-ounce plastic bagged meal packages of “P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Garlic Chicken with Dan Dan Noodles” with a Use By date of 6/8/17 and case code 5006616500. Finally, 22-ounce plastic bagged meal packages of “P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Grilled Chicken Teriyaki with Lo Mein Noodles” with a Use By date of 6/10/17 and case code 5006616700, and 22-ounce plastic bagged meal packages of “P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Signature Spicy Chicken” with a Use By date of 5/26/17 and case code 5006615200 are recalled.

These products have the establishment number “EST. 233” or “EST. P-115” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to distributors and retail locations nationwide. You can see pictures of labels of the recalled products at the USDA web site.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
