Peddlin’ Rooster Gourmet BBQ Sauces Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

Kermit, Inc. of Florida is recalling products co-packed for Peddlin’ Rooster because of undeclared soy and anchovies, two of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to soy and/or fish could have a serious reaction if they eat these products. The soy and anchovies were ingredients in Reduced Sodium Worcestershire Sauce and Organic Ketchup used to make these products. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these sauces.

Recall NoticesYou can see the long list of recalled products at the FDA web site, along with package sizes. The products come in clear glass bottles. Each product has a “Best By” date. The recall is for all of the products with any “Best By” date before November 1, 2017.

The recalled products are all Peddling’ Rooster Gourmet brands. They include Thick N’Sweet Cara Cara Orange Vanilla, Thick N’Sweet BBQ Sauce, Thick N’ Sweet Raspberry BBQ Sauce, Thick N’Sweet Moonshine Ghost Honey Mustard BBQ Sauce, Thick N’Sweet Red Apple BBQ Sauce, and Thick N’Sweet Wild Blueberry BBQ Sauce, among others.

If you purchased any of these sauces and are allergic to soy and/or anchovies, do not consume it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
