PR Brand Fish Products Recalled for Undeclared Egg

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Pearl River Food are recalling fish products because they contain egg, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. There is no word on whether or not any reactions have been reported.

Recall SignageThe recalled products do not have any UPC numbers. They include Deep Fried Fish Ball in 2.27 kg packages; all codes where egg is not declared on the label are recalled. Cuttle Fish Ball in 2.27 kg packages are also recalled; all codes where egg is not declared are recalled. Fried Fish Strips and Non-Fried Fish Balls are also recalled. They are sold in variable weight packages and are sold at the retail level without any labels.

These products were sold in Ontario through hotel/restaurant/institutional sales. If you are allergic to egg, do not eat these products.
