Re VITA Lize Liquid Vitamin Recalled for Undeclared Allergen

reVITA lize-recallSchaffner Distributing Pronutri LLC. is recalling Re-VITA-lize tropical orange flavor liquid vitamin for undeclared soy and milk. Consumers who have an allergy or sensitivity to milk or soy should not use this product as they risk severe allergic reaction if they do.

The recall includes lot number 15554. It was distributed through retail stores and direct delivery in California, Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, Texas, and Iowa.

The product is packaged in a 32 ounce white plastic bottle with the name Re-VITA-Lize Tropical Orange Flavor.  The lot number appears on the side of the bottle.

At the time of the recall, no illnesses had been reported. The recall was issued after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) discovered that the product contained whey protein which contains the allergens of milk and soy lecithin which were nor declared on the label.
