Recall of Frozen Swai Fillets for Lack of Inspection Expanded

U.S. Cado Holdings is recalling 2,235 additional pounds of imported, frozen Swai fillets that were distributed without meeting federal importation requirements. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products. The products were imported from Vietnam and were not tested for residue. The original recall on June 20, 2016 was for 25,760 pounds of the product.

The expanded recall includes skinless and boneless Delta’s Best Basa Swai Fillets that were produced and packaged on March 1, 9, and 16, 2016 in Vietnam by Golden Quality Seafood Corporation. The 15 pound boxes contain individually wrapped pieces of “Skinless and Boneless Swai Fillets” with the label DELTA’S BEST BASA BRAND and lot numbers 023015 and 023021. The best by dates of these products are 03-01-2018, 03-09-2018, and 03-16-2018. The products have no plant number on the box, but do have the lot numbers and best by dates. They were shipped to retail locations in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a sealed container, or return them to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
