Recall of Hinty’s Soups in Canada for Botulism Expanded

The recall of Hinty’s Bean Soup and Pumpkin Chili on November 9, 2016 in Canada has been expanded to include another product. Those soups are being recalled for possible Clostridium botulinum contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products.

The original recall was for Black Bean and Yam Chili. The newly recalled products have no brand name and no UPC Number. All units sold up to and including November 11, 2016 are recalled. They are Bean Soup in about 500 ml jars, Bean Soup in about 1 liter jars, Spicy Pumpkin Chili in 500 ml jars, and Spicy Pumpkin Chili in about 1 liter jars. They were sold in Ontario at the retail level.

This recall was triggered by test results. If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the store where you purchased them for a full refund.
