R&R Provision Recalls Breaded Veal for Allergens

R&R Provision Company is recalling about 23,040 pounds of breaded veal products for misbranding and undeclared allergens. The products contain whey and nonfat milk that are not declared on the label. No adverse reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled products are 5.3 ounce plastic sealed packages containing 30 pieces of “BREADED VEAL STEAKS” with package code RR27-4102; 7.5 ounce plastic sealed packages containing 20 pieces of “BREADED VEAL STEAKS” with package code RR27-4142; and 5.3 ounce plastic sealed packages containing 30 pieces of “BREADED VEAL STEAKS” with the package code RR27-4122. Also recalled are 4 ounce plastic sealed packages containing 40 pieces of “BREADED VEAL STEAKS” with the package code RR27-4132; 4 ounce plastic sealed packages containing 30 pieces of “BREADED VEAL PATTIES” with package code RR27-4092; and 5.3 ounce plastic sealed packages containing 40 pieces of “BREADED VEAL PATTIES” with package code RR27-5002.

They were produced April 14, 2016 through November 17, 2016. The products have the establishment number “EST. 1081” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to restaurants in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and also sold at the establishment’s retail store in Easton, Pennsylvania.

The problem was discovered on December 14, 2016 by FSIS inspection personnel while performing routine label verification procedures. If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk or are lactose intolerant, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
