Sardo Arugula Pesto Recalled in Canada for Undeclared Milk

Sardo Foods and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are recalling Arugula Pesto because it may contain milk, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to milk, or who has lactose intolerance, may have a serious reaction if they eat this product. There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is Arugula Pesto in 228 gram packages (4 x 57 grams). The code on the product is BB/MA 2017/JA/04/A and the UPC number isĀ 0 55823 02806 9. The product was sold in Ontario at the retail level.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to milk or have lactose intolerance, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
