Spartan Cheesecakes Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

Spartan is recalling three of their Fresh Selections cheesecake varieties because they may have undeclared peanut residue. Kellogg Company is recalling graham cracker crumbs because they were made with Grain Craft flour that may have contained the residue. Anyone who has a severe peanut allergy could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. The amount of peanut in the product is low.

Spartan Cheesecake Peanut RecallThe cheesecakes were produced in SpartanNash’s Central Kitchen facility. The items had a sell by date of June 6 to June 21, 2016, and are no longer in stores.

The recalled products are Spartan Fresh Selections Cherry Cheesecake in 5 ounce sizes, with lot number 6/6/2016 – 6/21/2016. The UPC number is 11213-03462 and the Spartan Code is 595. Also recalled is Spartan Fresh Selections Strawberry Cheesecake in 5 ounce packages. The lot number is 6/6/2016 – 6/21/2016, and the UPC number is 11213-03463, with Spartan code 596. Finally, Spartan Fresh Selections Blueberry Cheesecake in 5 ounce packages is recalled. The lot number is 6/6/2016 – 6/21/2016. The UPC number is 11213-03464 and the Spartan code is 597.

SpartanNash is sending a notice to its Reward Card holders who may have purchased these items. If you bought these cheesecakes and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat them. Discard them or return to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
