Surimi Recalled in Canada for Undeclared Egg

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Zian Trading Company are updating a recall issued on January 30, 2016 for Frozen King Surimi. The products are being recalled for undeclared egg, one of the major food allergens. No illnesses or reactions have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products.

Surimi RecallThe recalled products are all Frozen King brand. All codes where egg is not declared on the label are recalled. The products are Surimi Chunks in 908 gram packages with UPC number 8 13103 00905 0, Surimi Sticks in 908 gram packages with UPC number 8 13103 00903 6, and Surimi Sticks in 250 gram packages with UPC number 8 13103 00902 9. They were sold in Ontario and Quebec and possibly nationally. You can see pictures of recalled products at the CFIA web site.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to egg, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
