Tart Shells Recalled for Undeclared Eggs and Coconut

Sid Wainer & Son of Massachusetts is voluntarily recalling tart shells and cone tart shells because they contain coconut (tree nuts) and eggs that are not declared on the label. People who are allergic to eggs and/or coconut could have a serious reaction if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled products are Domaine de Provence La Cucina Tart Shells, 252 pieces per box, with UPC number 708152149119. That product contains undeclared eggs. Also recalled is Domaine de Provence Neutral 3″ Cone Tart Shells, 308 pieces per box, with UPC number 708152316856.That product contains undeclared coconut. They were distributed nationwide to food service establishments. An ingredient change was not declared on the labels.

If you purchased either of these products and are allergic to eggs and/or coconut, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a refund. The products are safe to eat for anyone who is not allergic to those ingredients.
