This Kid Saves Lives Products Recalled

The FDA’s Weekly Enforcement Report for February 10, 2016 lists recalls that are not issued to the public by the usual protocol. This week’s lists a recall of This Kid Saves Lives Chocolate Chip bars for undeclared whey protein. Whey is an ingredient in milk, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to milk or who is lactose-intolerant could have a serious reaction if they eat this product.

Recall SignsThe recalled product is This Kid Saves Lives Chocolate Chip with UPC numbers 10858497004097 and 858497004090. The best by dates include BEST BY APR APR 2916, BEST BY JUL2816, BEST BY APR 2916 and BEST BY JUL2816.  They were sold in Minnesota, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, California, Illinois, Maryland, Tennessee, Iowa, New Mexico, Florida at the retail level. And they were sold online in Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Louisiana, California, Maryland, North Carolina, Texas, Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Maine, Tennessee, Georgia, Alaska, Michigan, Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington state, Illinois, Iowa, and Oklahoma.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to milk, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
