Tippin’s Key Lime Pie Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

Updated June 22 Tippin’s Gourmet Pies of Kansas City, KS  has issued a recall for select Key Lime Pies because they may contain flour with undeclared peanut residue. Tippin’s initiated the recall after being notified that supplier, Kellogg Company, had issued a recall for graham cracker crumbs because they may contain undeclared peanut residue.

Consumers with peanut allergies should not eat this product as they may experience an allergic reaction if they do. At the time of the recall, the company had not received any reports of illness.

The 8 inch pies had the UPC 680816050057 and the following lot numbers: 04-07-16, 04-14-16, 04-21-16, 04-25-16, 04-26-16, 04-27-16, 05-03-16, 05-04-16 , 05-05-16, 05-11-16, 05-17-16.

This product was sold to distributers throughout Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arizona, and Illinois.
