United Natural Trading, doing business as Woodstock Farms Manufacturing, is recalling walnuts and walnut-containing products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these recalled products, but the symptoms of listeriosis can take up to 70 days to appear.

The recalled products are Nature’s Promise Cranberry Trail Mix, Woodstock Walnut Halves & Pieces, Woodstock Cape Cod Cranberry Mix, Market Basket Walnuts Raw, Market Basket Cape Cod Cranberry Trail Mix, Woodfield Farms Walnuts Halves & Pieces, and Nature’s Promise Walnut Halves & Pieces. If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a sealed container or return them to the place of purchase for a refund, or show proof of purchase to get a refund. Then clean out your pantry or cupboard with a mild bleach solution to kill any Listeria bacteria.
If you ate any of these products, watch yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis for the next 70 days. Those symptoms include fever, muscle aches, headache, flu-like symptoms, nausea, abdominal pain, stiff neck, and diarrhea. If you do get sick, see your doctor and tell her you ate some of these recalled products.
