Wattie’s Canned Spaghetti Recalled for No Inspection

Kiwi Care Package Company of California is recalling about 90 pounds of Wattie’s canned spaghetti that was not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection. This product was imported from a New Zealand establishment that was not eligible to export product to the U.S. Without the benefit of a full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists.

The product was imported on September 1, 2016. It is Wattie’s Canned Spaghetti with Sausage 100% Lamb & Beef in 300 gram cans. The recall is for 137 of these cans. It has the New Zealand establishment number “PH233” and was sold over the internet. The problem was discovered on September 22, 2016 by routine monitoring of import shipments.

No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received to date. If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it for a full refund.
