You-Ka Ramune Recalled for Undeclared Wheat

JFC International is recalling two confectionary products because they contain wheat, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to wheat, and people with celiac disease could have a serious reaction if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled products are You-ka Fresh Ramune in 3.87 ounce packages. The Jan Code/Bar Code is 4 902486 308594 and the best by date is 2017.11.15 or before. Also recalled is You-ka Punch Ramune in 3.87 ounce containers. The Jan Code/Bar Code is 4 902486 111064 and the best by date is 2017.11.15 or before. They were sold to retail stores and other foodservice operations in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.

If you purchased these products and can’t eat wheat, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
