Allergy Alert Issued for Mislabeled Gerber® Cheese Ravioli Pasta Pick-ups®

Gerber Cheese Ravioli Pasta Pick-Ups recalledA mislabeled baby food product that contains eggs has prompted Gerber Products Company, based in Florham Park, New Jersey, to issue a voluntary recall. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the label on packages of Cheese Ravioli Gerber® Pasta Pick-Ups®, although it does in fact list “egg” on its ingredients list, failed to also list “egg” on the label’s required “Contains” list of common allergens.

The Cheese Ravioli variety of the branded Gerber® Pasta Pick-Ups® line is the only product affected by the recall. It was distributed nationwide in the United States to retail stores and through ecommerce outlets. The mislabeled packages are stamped with the UPC code 159070.

Children who are sensitive or allergic to eggs may become sick or experience a dangerous allergic reaction if they ingest this product. Parents of allergic children who bought this product should either dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase.
