Almonds Recalled for Undeclared Cashews

Specialty Commodities, a subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company is recalling a specific lot of dry roasted almonds because they may contain undeclared cashews. Any0one who is allergic to cashews could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled dry roasted almonds were distributed between December 22, 106 an January 19, 2017 to three customers, one of whom (DSD Merchandisers Inc.) redistributed them for sale in bulk bins or clam shells to retail stores in California. Safeway and Nugget Markets received the product. The cashew-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of cashews because of an inventory processing irregularity. If you purchased this product and are allergic to cashews, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a refund.
