Ardent Mills Recalls Flour in Canada for E. coli O121

The food recall warning in Canada issued on April 4, 2017 about Robin Hood flour that may be contaminated with E. coli O121 bacteria has been updated to include more products. There have been reported illnesses associated with flour, but at this time, “there have been no confirmed illnesses associated with the products identified in this Food Recall Warning,” according to the CFIA.

The newly recalled products were produced by Ardent Mills. The brand names of the recalled flour products include Brodie, Creative Baker, Golden Temple, and Robin Hood. This recall was triggered by findings by the CFIA during the investigation into the outbreak. Twenty-six people are sick in Canada in this particular outbreak as of the last update on April 5, 2017.

If you purchased any of this recalled products, do not use them in cooking or baking. Throw them away in sealed packages so other people and animals can’t get at them, or take them back to the store where you bought them for a refund.
