Asian Microgreens Recalled for Possible Salmonella

ChloroFields of Kansas is recalling 20 cases of Asian Microgreens because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The products were distributed through retail grocery stores in Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri. The Asian Microgreens come in a 1.5 ounce clamshell, with the label “Asian Mix Microgreens.” The sell by date, which is located on a white sticker on the bottom of the container, is 3/26/2017. The UPC number isĀ 853763007096.

The problem was discovered during routine examination conducted by the FDA that found the pathogenic bacteria in the finished product. Chlorofields has ceased distribution of this product while an investigation is conducted.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed container, or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
