Clancy’s Snack Combo Recalled by Olde York for Undeclared Milk Allergen

Clancy's Snack Combo RecallThe U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports that Olde York has issued a recall for one lot of its Clancy’s Snack Combo because the product may contain undeclared milk allergens. This lot was distributed to Aldi stores in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Olde York is based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

After a consumer alerted the company about discovering Nacho Tortilla Chips in two 1-ounce Barbecue Potato Chips bags, the company investigated the issue. It ascertained that an isolated breakdown in its cleaning process had caused the error, and issued the recall.

The affected Clancy’s Snack Combo is a 20 x 1, 20-ounce variety pack containing 1-ounce bags of snacks including cheese curls, potato, chips, and tortilla chips. The plastic packaging is stamped with “SELL BY JUN 07 2017 2D9” and with the UPC code: 0 41498 12999 6.

People who are allergic to milk run the risk of illness or a life-threatening reaction if they consume these snacks. The product should be returned to the place of purchase for a refund or else properly disposed of.
