Hunt’s Chili Kits Recalled for Possible Salmonella

Conagra Brands is voluntarily recalling some of their Hunt’s Chili Kits because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The pathogenic bacteria could be in the chili seasoning packet in the kit. A supplier informed the company of this potential problem. No Salmonella has been found in the finished product supplied to Conagra, but the company decided to recall the product. There have been no reports of illnesses to date.

The product was distributed in retail stores, military commissaries and online in the United States. They include Hunt’s Chili Kit in 44.8 ounce packages, with UPC number 20-0-27000-42063-2, MFG/Lot Code 3534619500, and Best by date April 4, 2018. Also recalled is Hunt’s Chili Kit in 44.8 ounce packages, with UPC number 20-0-27000-42063-2, MFG/Lot Code 3534622200, and Best by date May 1, 2018. Finally, Hunt’s Chili Kit in 44.8 ounce packages is recalled, with UPC number 20-0-27000-42063-2, MFG/Lot Code 3534619600, and Best by date April 5, 2018.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them, even if you plan to cook them. Throw them away in a sealed container or take them back to the store where you bought them for a refund.
