I.M. Healthy brand SoyNut Butter Products Recalled in Canada for E. coli O157:H7

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling I.M. Healthy SoyNut Butter and Granola products for possible E.coli O157:H7 contamination. This recall was triggered by a recall and outbreak in the United States. No one has been sickened in Canada so far, but 16 people in the United States have been sickened in a multistate outbreak linked to those products.

These products were sold nationally at the retail level and were also sold through the internet. These products are all I.M. Healthy Brand. All code dates are recalled. They include Creamy SoyNut Butter in 425 gram (15 ounce) containers with UPC number 6 54989 91010 4, Chunky SoyNut Butter in 425 gram (15 ounce) containers with UPC number 6 54989 92010 3, Unsweetened Creamy SoyNut Butter in 425 gram (15 ounce) containers with UPC number 6 54989 93010 2, Honey Creamy SoyNut Butter in 425 gram (15 ounce) containers and UPC number 6 54989 94010 1, and Chocolate SoyNut Butter in 425 gram (15 ounce) containers with UPC number 6 54989 97010 8. Also recalled is Original Granola in 340 gram (12 ounce) containers with UPC number 6 54989 40035 3, Raisin & Cranberry Granola in 340 gram (12 ounce) containers with UPC number 6 54989 40036 0, Apple Granola in 340 gram (12 ounce) containers with UPC number 6 54989 40037 7, and Blueberry Granola in 340 gram (12 ounce) containers with UPC number  6 54989 40038 4.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them, even if some of the product has been consumed and no one got sick. Throw them away in a sealed or double bagged package or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
