Nutiva is recalling Superfood Shake 30 for Undeclared Peanuts

Nutiva is voluntarily recalling their Organic Plant Based Protein Superfood 30 Shake – Vanilla Flavor after finding the product may contain peanuts, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to peanuts could have a life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. There is no word on whether any illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled products are all Organic Plant Based Protein Superfood 30 Shake – Vanilla in different sizes. The first is 10 – 1.2 ounce (34 gram ) packets with unit UPC number 6-92752-10717-7, a master case UPC number of 6-92752-10718-4, lot code 20SEP2016I, expiration date 20 SEP 2018, and product number PBP201. The 21.6 ounce HOPE Jar has a unit UPC number 6-92752-10711-5, master case UPC number 6-92752-10712-2, lot code 26SEP2016I, expiration date 26 SEP 2018, and product number PBP205. The 12.6 ounce HOPE jar, with the same unit and case UPC numbers and product code, but with lot code 27SEP2016I and expiration date 27 SEP 2018 is also recalled.

These products were sold on the internet and through distributors in California, Colorado, Florida, New Hampshire, Oregon, and Texas. If you bought them and are allergic to peanuts, don’t eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund.
