Olymel Recalls Uninspected Pork Products

Olymel S.E.C./L.P., of Canada, is recalling about 1,124 pounds of pork ribs because they were repacked and distributed without federal inspection. The items were shipped to restaurants in Michigan. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

The products are 10 pound cardboard boxes of pork rib tips with a packaging date of January 10-13, 2017, and 30 pound cardboard boxes of pork rib tips with a packaging date of January 10-13, 2017. They were repacked and produced on those dates. They have the establishment number “Est. 8951” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
