Another dog food is being recalled because of the potential presence of pentobarbital, an euthanasia drug. Party Animal is recalling some cans of their Cocolicious Beef & Turkey and Chicken & Beef dog food.

A retailer in Texas told the company that their customerĀ had presented samples of our 13-ounce-can Cocolicious Beef & Turkey dog food (Lot #0136E15204 04, best by July 2019) and 13-ounce-can Cocolicious Chicken & Beef dog food (Lot #0134E15 237 13, best by August 2019) to a testing lab, and that the results had tested positive for pentobarbital. The company tracked the lot numbers of those products and are recalling them.

The company is havingĀ the products tested separately by an accredited independent laboratory and will get the results in 7 to 10 days. They are recalling the remainder of those two lots nationwide.

The company has also submitted “many recent lots” of their beef flavors for testing; all have tested negative for any pentobarbital. They are also re-examining their manufacturing process.

If you purchased those products with those specific lot numbers and best by dates, do not feed them to your dog. Throw them away or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
