PC Organics Baby Food Recalled in Canada for Botulism

Lobular Companies Limited and the CFIA are recalling one lot code of PC Organics brand Apple, Blueberry & Green Pea strained baby food because it may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum bacteria. The toxins produced by this bacteria can cause paralysis and death.

The recalled product is PC Organics Apple, Blueberry & Green Pea strained baby food in 128 ml containers. The UPC number on the product isĀ 0 60383 06292 7 and the code is 2017 OC 31. It was sold nationally at the retail level.

The recall was triggered by a consumer complaint. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product. If you purchased this product, do not use it. Throw it away in a sealed or double bagged package or take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
