Recall of King’s Pastry in Canada Updated

The food recall issued on December 29, 2016 by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and King’s Pastry has been updated. King’s Pastry is recalling cakes from the market because they may contain hazelnuts that are not declared on the label. There has been one reported rection associated with the consumption of these products.

You can see the long list of recalled products, along with brand name, package sizes, codes, and UPC numbers, at the CFIA web site. They include King’s Pastry Tuxedo Bar Cake in more sizes, King’s Pastry Chocolate Hazelnut Bar Cake, Bakewell Desserts Chocolate Lava Cake, and unbranded Mocha Cake Roll, Cappuccino Carnival Cake, Mango Carnival Cake, and Double Chocolate Cake.

If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to hazelnuts, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
