Recall of Longo’s Ground Meat for E. coli Updated in Canada

Longo Brothers Fruit Market and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are updating the recall of ground meat products for E. coli O157:H7.  Additional product information is being added to the recall.

You can see the long list of recalled products at the CFIA web site, including package sizes, UPC numbers, and codes on the products.  Twenty-seven products are being recalled, including Lean Ground Beef, Longo’s Meat and Mozzarella Beef Cheese Stuffed Peppers, Ontario Lean Ground Veal, Value Pack Lean C.A.B. Ground Beef, VG Ontario Angus All Beef Lean Patties, and VG Ontario Angus All Beef Meatloaf, among others.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them, even if you plan to cook them thoroughly. Throw them away in a sealed container or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
