Recall of Wholesome Farms Sundae Cups for Listeria Updated for 4th Time

The recall of Wholesome Farms brand Sundae Cup products in Canada for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination is being updated for a fourth time to include additional product information. This information was identified during the CFIA’s food safety investigation. No reported illnesses have been received to date n connection with this problem.

Central Smith Creamery is recalling Wholesome Farms brand Sundae cups; consumers should not consume this product, and food service institutions, such as nursing homes and hospitals, should not serve them. The recall was triggered by CFIA test results.

The long list of products recalled, along with identifying information such as the product size, codes on the product, UPC numbers, and photos, can be seen at the CFIA web site. The products recalled include Butterscotch Sundae Cup, Sugar-Free Light Vanilla Ice Cream Sundae Cup, Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae Cup, Peach Yogurt Sundae Cup, and Strawberry Ice Cream Sundae Cup, among others.
