Rich Products Pizza Dough Balls Recalled in Canada for E. coli O121

Rich Products of Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are recalling Pizza Dough Balls because of possible E. coli O121 contamination. This recall is related to the recall of Ardent Mills flours for the same bacterial contamination. There is no information about whether or not any illnesses have been associated with this issue. There is an outbreak in Canada linked to Ardent Mills flours.

The pizza dough balls were sold to hotels, restaurants, and institutions. The recalled products are both Rich Products Corporation brand. The first is 7 ounce Pizza Dough Ball in 12.9 kg packages. The codes on the product are 77007016 – Use by 19/May/17; 77007045 – Use by 14/Jun/17; and 77007059 – Use by 28/Jun/17; and the UPC number is 0 00 49800 11267 4. The second product is 18 ounce Artisan Style Pizza Dough Ball in 12.2 kg packages. The code on that product is 77007044 Use by 12/Aug/17, and the UPC number is 0 00 49800 11269 8.

Institutions should not use this dough and should not sell it to customers. Return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
