Stauffer’s Animal Crackers Recalled for Undeclared Milk

D.F. Stauffer Biscuit Company is recalling one best by date of their Original Animal Crackers because they may be packaged with other cookies that contain milk powder. Anyone who is allergic to milk or who is lactose intolerant may have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The products were distributed to Walmart stores in Utah, Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, California, Arizona, Washington, Louisiana, Oregon, Idaho, Hawaii, Montana Arkansas, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Nevada. The recalled product is Original Animal Cracker in 32 ounce packages. The best by date is 07SEP17, the bag lot numbers are LC120716 and LD120716, and the UPC number is 7232091022.

The recall was started after consumers complained that other cookies were mixed in with the bag with the Original Animal Crackers. If you purchased this product and cannot consume milk, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a refund.
